Eligibility
- Candidates must hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering from recognized University in India.
- OR Candidates must hold Diploma in Automobile Engineering issued by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh or Technological Diploma Examination Board, Hyderabad or any other equivalent.

AP Motor Assistant Vehicle Inspector Qualification
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering from recognized University or Institute in India.
or
- A Diploma in Automobile Engineering from the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh, or the Technological Diploma Examination Board, Hyderabad, or an equivalent qualification.
Technical qualification (required along with either option):
- A valid Motor Driving Licence with at least 3 years of experience driving motor vehicles, along with a Heavy Transport Vehicle endorsement.
- Women candidates: you must hold a Motor Vehicle driving licence. If you only have an LMV licence, you must get the Heavy Transport Vehicle endorsement within 2 years of joining. Otherwise your services can be terminated.
AMVI 2026 Selection Process
This is single level exam, this exam is conducted as online computer based test (CBRT). There are two papers each paper consists 150 objective type questions. Paper 1 carries one mark for each question and paper 2 carries 2 marks for every question. There are Negative marks each wrong answer deducts 1/3 marks.
